Kelingking Beach is one of the most famous spot of Nusa Penida. Major travel sites use its photo to advertise Bali and even sometimes Indonesia. The place is indeed very spectacular and really amazing. The rock of Kelingking Beach looks a little like the backbone of a dinosaur that would drink in the sea. And by the way, on Google Map the bay is called T-Rex Bay. If you are lucky you may even see Manta rays from the top of the cliff.

Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong are on the South-West coast of Nusa Penida, not far from Crystal Bay. However, to go there by scooter or car you have to make quite a big detour. The road to go there used to be the worst one in all of Nusa Penida. Nowadays only the last hundred meters are a remainder of that terrible road ! You can also walk from Crystal Bay to Broken Beach, but the trail is not easy to find and it is a 2 hour hike.

Diamond Beach has become even more famous than Atuh Beach nowadays, with its famous staircase carved into the cliff. Atuh Beach and Diamond Beach are in my top 5 of awesome sites to see in Nusa Penida.

Atuh Beach and Diamond Beach are considered, together with Crystal Bay, the most beautiful beaches on Nusa Penida island. These beaches are now easily accessible with a brand new road. It takes about an hour to get to Atuh Beach from Toyapakeh harbour, or if you’re coming from Crystal Bay it takes about an hour and 15 minutes.

a tree house with a viewpoint area on a hill that presents a panoramic view of the blue sea landscape decorated with large stones overgrown with trees and resembles a very beautiful range of islands. With these views, this place becomes so iconic and Instagramable.

Crystal Bay is an amazing beach on the island of Nusa Penida in Bali. The beach is easily accessible by scooter with a brand new road all the way from Toyapakeh harbour. You can spend your day enjoying the beach and the sea, or just relax in the shade under a parasol. If you’re very lucky you might even see dolphins here. The sunset from this beach is probably among the most spectacular in Nusa Penida. For all the above reasons Crystal Bay is among the top 5 places to visit on Nusa Penida island.

Goa Giri Putri temple is the most visited temple of Nusa Penida. Be careful not to miss the secret entrance because it is pretty narrow. And you will then enter into a huge cave, very impressive.

A primary forest, a natural pool and a very romantic place by the sea. What else do you need ? My first time in Temeling was in November 2015. The scooter ride was very impressive because you had to follow a very narrow path, about 50 centimeters wide. And the nearby ravine looked pretty close. The ride remains impressive but at least the path is now wider. And their is a reward at the end of the path!

The place is called Guyangan Waterfall or Peguyangan Waterfall on Google Map. It is one of the very beautiful places of Nusa Penida. But if you are expecting a cascade of water falling from the cliff you will be disappointed. The only small waterfall you will see is the overflow pipe of the small water tank in which the pumps come to draw the spring water that will be distributed on Nusa Penida island. Guyangan Waterfall is fairly easily accessible, about 45 minute drive away from Crystal Bay or Toyapakeh.

Suwehan Beach is one of those very beautiful beaches of Nusa Penida island which remains quite wild. It is now quite easy to get to the beach with a brand new staircase. The way down till the beach will take you less than twenty minutes. It is close to Atuh Beach and it may be a good idea to combine the visit of both beaches in the same tour. It’s one of my favorite places in Nusa Penida.

Seganing Waterfall is one of the nicest places in Nusa Penida where you can admire beautiful landscapes. And make yourself a little fright by going down the cliff side following a more or less well traced path. And more or less well protected… That’s the real adventure in Nusa Penida!
